Teenager Injured in Dublin Shooting Clash

A shooting incident in North Dublin has left a teenager injured following a clash between two groups. The victim, who was shot in the back, was swiftly taken to a hospital in Dublin, but his injuries are reported to be non-life threatening.

The altercation took place at a halting site in St Margaret’s Park, where sources indicate a confrontation occurred between the two groups. It has been mentioned that other weapons, including slash hooks, were also involved in the incident.

Authorities have issued an appeal for witnesses after the discharge of a firearm at St Margaret’s Park. The injured teenager, an adult male in his late teens, was promptly transported to the hospital for treatment. The scene has been secured for forensic examination, and investigations are being led by a Senior Investigating Officer at Ballymun Garda Station.

Gardaí are urging anyone with information or camera footage from the area between 11:30 am and 1:30 pm to come forward. The incident remains under investigation, and anyone with relevant details is encouraged to contact Ballymun Garda Station or the Garda Confidential Line.

A police cordon has been established at the scene as Garda continue their inquiries into the shooting. The motive behind the clash between the two groups remains unclear at this stage.
