Sir Richard Branson, the billionaire founder of Virgin, allegedly expressed a desire to meet Jeffrey Epstein again in 2013, suggesting Epstein bring along his group of women. This revelation came from newly disclosed US documents. Branson reportedly offered public relations advice to Epstein to help him recover from his previous scandal involving soliciting a minor for prostitution. The email exchange occurred after a meeting at Branson’s Necker Island residence.
Branson’s representatives clarified that he would not have used such language if he had known the full extent of Epstein’s actions. Branson also advised Epstein to seek endorsement from Bill Gates to improve his public image. In the emails, Branson acknowledged Epstein’s past mistake but emphasized that Epstein had learned from it and had not committed any illegal acts since then.
The disclosed messages also included plans for Epstein to visit Necker Island with associates and discussions about transportation arrangements to Epstein’s private island, Little Saint James. Branson’s team stated that any interactions with Epstein were brief and organized by a third party. They emphasized that Branson was unaware of Epstein’s criminal activities and condemned them.
Furthermore, it was revealed that Branson and his late wife had minimal contact with Epstein over a decade ago, primarily in group or business settings. They decided to cease communication with Epstein after uncovering serious allegations during due diligence for a charity donation from him. Branson expressed support for Epstein’s victims and emphasized the importance of seeking justice.
The release of these documents follows a series of revelations related to Epstein, who died in 2019 while facing charges of sex trafficking minors. The documents also contained unsubstantiated claims involving other prominent figures, including Donald Trump and Bill Gates, which have been refuted by their representatives.
