Iran’s FM Confirms Supreme Leader’s Health

Date:

Iran’s foreign minister has provided an update on the condition of the new Supreme Leader following remarks by Donald Trump suggesting his possible demise. Mojtaba Khamenei, who took over after his father’s death in Israeli-US attacks at the conflict’s onset, has been absent from public view.

Last Thursday, Mojtaba released his first war statement, relayed by a news presenter as he did not appear on camera or disclose his whereabouts. Trump expressed doubts about Mojtaba’s status, urging him to act in the best interest of Iran if alive.

Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, has affirmed that the Supreme Leader is in good health and effectively managing the situation. Speculation has arisen regarding Mojtaba’s well-being, with Israeli reports suggesting he sustained injuries in the initial war strikes that also claimed the lives of his family members.

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth claimed Mojtaba was likely wounded and disfigured, questioning the absence of visual proof in his statements. Mojtaba vowed to avenge the deaths of his father and other Iranian leaders, promising retaliation for every Iranian life lost in the conflict.

He pledged to continue targeting Gulf Arab countries and leverage the closure of the Strait of Hormuz against the US and Israel. Additionally, Mojtaba hinted at potential new fronts in the war where the enemy could be vulnerable, alluding to past attacks on US, Israeli, and Jewish interests worldwide.
