Charlie, a mother of one, emphasized in her video the five instances where tipping is customary in the U.S. but not in the UK. One such case is when large items like furniture or appliances are delivered to your residence. In the UK, payment for delivery and assembly suffices, whereas in the U.S., tipping the delivery personnel is expected.
Additionally, she noted the expectation of tipping at coffee shops, a practice uncommon in England. Leaving gratuities for hotel housekeepers, ordering at counters in establishments like food trucks or Nando’s, and tipping at bars were also highlighted as standard practices in the U.S., unlike in the UK.
