A tragic bus accident on a major highway in Turkey has resulted in the deaths of three individuals and injuries to 31 others. Reports indicate that the passenger bus lost control, struck a roadside barrier, and overturned, causing panic among passengers.
Emergency services confirmed the fatalities at the scene, where injured individuals were swiftly transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. The incident occurred in the Bandırma district on the Bandırma-Çanakkale road, close to the Külefli neighborhood, with authorities yet to disclose the accident’s cause.
First responders, including police, firefighters, and paramedics, rushed to the crash site to assist in freeing trapped passengers from the overturned bus. The deceased individuals were taken to the morgue at the Bandirma Training and Research Hospital.
Following the accident, the highway was temporarily closed for cleanup operations, including the removal of debris and the wrecked bus. Subsequently, the road was reopened to traffic. Police have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
