“UK Teens Banned After Hotel Chaos”

Date:

Two intoxicated teenage girls have been prohibited from entering any pub, bar, or nightclub across the UK following an incident at a hotel reception. Kera McKeown and Larisa Sumovskaja, both aged 19, caused chaos at the Trouville Hotel in Bournemouth, Dorset, where they were not guests. The disruptive behavior included spitting at staff, throwing objects, and causing damage.

McKeown, identified as the ringleader, was seen holding a vodka bottle and high heels while causing mayhem at the reception. She threatened the receptionist and proceeded to damage property, including throwing objects at the staff. Sumovskaja also engaged in destructive behavior, picking up a fire extinguisher but did not use it. The court sentenced them and imposed a ban on them from all pubs, bars, nightclubs, and hotels for six months.

The court heard that the incident occurred on April 19 the previous year when the women were asked to leave the hotel by the receptionist. Subsequently, a series of aggressive actions took place, resulting in physical and reputational damage to the hotel. The total cost of the damage was estimated at around £4,000.

McKeown and Sumovskaja pleaded guilty to criminal damage and affray. Their legal representatives mentioned their mental health issues and vulnerability as contributing factors to their behavior. Despite being sentenced to 12-week prison terms, the sentences were suspended for a year, and they were ordered to pay compensation to the affected parties.

Sumovskaja was further mandated to complete rehabilitation and mental health sessions. The judge emphasized the seriousness of their actions, warning them against any further misconduct. Another individual, Jasmine Orchard, involved in the incident, received a conditional discharge and was ordered to pay costs.

The court proceedings highlighted the disruptive and aggressive nature of the girls’ actions, leading to legal consequences and restrictions on their activities.
