“Prince Louis Shares Heartwarming Moment with King Charles at Easter Service”

Date:

Prince Louis had a heartwarming interaction with his grandfather, King Charles, at the Royal Family’s annual Easter Sunday church service. The event took place at St George’s Chapel in Windsor, marking the first time the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children attended since Kate’s cancer diagnosis. Seven-year-old Louis was seen walking alongside his mother and sister, Princess Charlotte, as they made their way to the church where they joined other royals awaiting the arrival of King Charles and Queen Camilla.

Upon their arrival, King Charles and Queen Camilla were greeted by cheers from the crowd as the royals respectfully bowed and curtsied. Inside the church, King Charles playfully tapped Louis on the shoulder in a tender moment witnessed by onlookers. Body language expert Judi James described the gesture as a rare display of Charles’ affectionate side as a devoted grandparent.

The service also saw the presence of Princess Anne, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, Prince Edward, and his son James, the Earl of Wessex. Despite expectations, the Duchess of Edinburgh was absent due to feeling unwell. Notably, Peter Phillips and his fiancée Harriet Sperling were among the attendees, announcing their upcoming wedding in June.

Following the service, Queen Camilla received a bouquet of flowers from 10-year-old Kit Bannan in front of an appreciative audience. The royal family, including King Charles, engaged in a brief meet-and-greet outside the chapel, acknowledging the well-wishers present.

Among the spectators was young Frank Gates, dressed in the Coldstream Guards uniform, who saluted King Charles passionately. As the royals departed, royal enthusiast John Loughrey shared that the King had acknowledged their flags and wished them a happy Easter. The Wales family, including the children, waved cheerfully to the crowd before heading back to Windsor Castle.

The Easter gathering also marked the first public appearance of Harriet, who joined Peter Phillips’ daughters and her daughter, Georgina. The day concluded with Kate embracing Princess Charlotte affectionately, showcasing a proud mother-daughter moment.
