A man from the United Kingdom has been condemned as a “monster” by the Department of Homeland Security in the U.S. after a series of violent attacks that resulted in the deaths of three individuals. Olaolukitan Adon Abel, a 26-year-old London native, was apprehended in DeKalb County, Atlanta, following the fatal shootings and stabbings, including the murder of a federal government employee while she was walking her dog.
The Department of Homeland Security characterized Abel’s actions as heinous, emphasizing the need to eliminate dangerous individuals from society. Abel now faces charges of murder, aggravated assault, and weapon offenses, with two confirmed deaths and one person seriously injured in the attacks.
Born in Camden with relatives in the U.S., Abel was naturalized as a U.S. citizen in 2022 under the Biden administration, sparking controversy and scrutiny. One of the victims, Lauren Bullis, a 40-year-old DHS employee, was brutally attacked and killed. Authorities confirmed no apparent connection between the victims, indicating the attacks were random.
Investigators located Abel using license plate recognition technology, leading to his arrest and the pending legal proceedings. The motives behind the attacks remain unclear, with authorities continuing their investigation into the tragic events. Abel’s criminal background includes prior convictions for assault and misconduct, shedding light on his troubled history. He is currently in custody awaiting further legal proceedings.
The investigation into the violent incidents is ongoing, with authorities working to gather more evidence as they seek justice for the victims.
