“Trump Reveals Plans for 250-Foot Triumphal Arch in DC”

Date:

Plans have been revealed by Donald Trump for a massive 250-foot triumphal arch to be constructed in Washington DC, dedicated to himself.

The proposed monument is of such significant size that it would overshadow Washington DC’s Lincoln Memorial and, according to the President, outshine the renowned Arc de Triomphe. Official designs disclosed this week display an expansive white arch embellished with gold leaf accents, featuring the phrase “One Nation Under God” prominently displayed in gold lettering at its peak.

The location for this structure is set for Memorial Circle, a circular intersection near Arlington National Cemetery, on the opposite side of the Potomac River from the 99-foot-tall Lincoln Memorial. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt affirmed the initiative, portraying it as a commemoration of America’s 250th year of independence.

President Trump and the Department of Interior will present proposals for the United States Triumphal Arc, an architectural masterpiece to honor our history here in Washington DC,” she stated.

“This monumental arch will stand at 250 feet tall in celebration of 250 years… Long after the individuals in this room have passed, our descendants will continue to be inspired by this.”

Leavitt had previously emphasized that the project should receive bipartisan support. “Great nations construct impressive edifices that foster national pride and patriotism,” she remarked, “and this triumphal arch should be a venture that all Americans of differing political inclinations can endorse.”

When questioned about the intended recipient of the monument, Trump gestured towards himself and responded, “Me.”

The concept for the arch traces back to Trump’s visit to Paris during his initial term, where he participated in an Armistice Day ceremony beneath the Arc de Triomphe.

The memory of the French landmark left a lasting impression on him. Speaking in December, he unequivocally expressed his intentions. “The most recognized one is the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, France, and we are going to surpass it by a significant margin,” he stated. “Their sole advantage is history.”

Standing at approximately 164 feet, the Arc de Triomphe would be exceeded in height by Trump’s proposed arch reaching 250 feet, potentially becoming the tallest triumphal arch in any national capital.

The proposal has not been devoid of controversy. Initially conceived as a modest
