Queen Elizabeth II is being honored with a limited edition collector’s bear to mark what would have been her 100th birthday. The Queen Elizabeth II Bear, made from the finest mohair by teddy maker Steiff, showcases intricate details such as a jeweled brooch, an adorned hat, and Steiff’s signature ear tag with a brass button.
This special bear is part of the celebrations commemorating the late monarch’s 100th birthday on April 21. Priced at £289, only 4,996 of these bears will be available globally, symbolizing the Queen’s lifespan of 96 years. Each bear is uniquely numbered and comes in a premium souvenir bag with a certificate of authenticity. It is 5-way jointed and fully movable, with fine embroidery on the soles of its feet to honor Queen Elizabeth II’s centenary.
Wearing one of the Queen’s iconic lime green coats with a matching hat, reminiscent of one of her final official appearances, the bear also features classic accessories like a pearl necklace, a crystal brooch, and her distinctive handbag.
The royal family will lead the upcoming commemorations, with King Charles delivering a recorded address celebrating his mother’s life and legacy. Alongside Queen Camilla and other family members, they will host representatives from charities and organizations linked to Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace.
In addition to the collector’s bear, the late Queen has been commemorated with a set of 12 stamps marking her centenary. The stamps feature images spanning her life, from childhood to her reign’s later years, including a set of four stamps in a miniature sheet showcasing her love for horses and dogs.
Following the commemorations, King Charles and Queen Camilla are set to embark on a controversial State Visit to the United States, hosted by President Donald Trump. This visit comes amidst tensions in the Middle East and crucial moments in the UK-US relationship.
