A legal complaint has been filed by a widow against an MRI facility following the tragic death of her husband who was pulled into an MRI machine. Adrienne Jones-McAllister, aged 61, is taking legal action against Nassau Open MRI after her spouse, Keith McAllister, also 61, passed away in an unexpected incident as per court records.
Accompanying his wife to a radiology office in New York on July 16, 2025, Keith, who had a “large metallic chain” around his neck, was inadvertently drawn into the MRI machine during her knee scan, according to the lawsuit.
Adrienne, who was present during the incident, stated that her late husband’s demise was a result of the clinic’s negligent actions. She claimed that the clinic failed to provide a safe environment and did not warn Keith about the risks of wearing metal objects inside the MRI room.
The legal claim asserts that the clinic’s oversight led to the tragic event and caused severe emotional and physical injuries to Adrienne. Seeking damages deemed fair and just by a jury, Adrienne described the emotional toll of witnessing her husband’s death and the subsequent impact on her well-being.
Following the incident, Adrienne’s daughter, Samantha Bodden, created a GoFundMe page detailing the efforts made to free Keith from the machine, emphasizing that he was authorized to be in the room by a technician.
In the aftermath of Keith’s death, Adrienne expressed deep emotional distress, struggling to cope with the tragic loss. Authorities confirmed that the incident occurred due to the victim wearing a metal chain, leading to a fatal medical emergency.
