A delivery company based in the UK has gone into administration. Eagle One Delivery Limited, located at Appleton Thorn Trading Estate in Warrington, specializes in global freight transport. The company, established in 2020, focused on international transport, freight forwarding, shipping, warehousing, and storage services. Situl Devji Raithatha of Springfields Advisory LLP was appointed as the administrator on April 16. The impact on jobs due to the administration is not yet known.
The UK has seen a recent increase in businesses entering administration or liquidation. According to reports, 65 businesses have filed notices this month alone as per The Gazette, which serves as the UK’s official public record for legal and government notices.
Loughton Tyres, a car tyre garage in Essex, appointed liquidators earlier this month after being registered since December 1987. The business received numerous positive reviews on Google and ceased operations on April 2, with Ninos Koumettou and Constantinos Pedhiou named as joint liquidators.
Gold Crest Holidays, based in Ilkley, West Yorkshire, announced the cessation of operations after more than 30 years. The family-owned coach tour operator cited financial pressures, changes to key business agreements, and escalating costs as reasons for liquidation. All future departures were canceled, with refunds being managed by the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA).
The company, which also operated under various names, expressed gratitude to customers, travel agents, suppliers, and staff for their support over the years.
