An elderly woman sustained severe head injuries after being attacked by a dog on a residential street in Preston. Police have apprehended a man and taken custody of two dogs following the incident on Lily Grove around 3:55 pm on Saturday.
Law enforcement officers responded to the scene and discovered the woman with significant bite wounds to her head. She was promptly transported to the hospital for medical care. Lancashire Police confirmed the seizure of the two dogs involved, and a police cordon was established for investigation purposes.
A 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of allowing a dog to be dangerously out of control and remained detained in police custody as inquiries progressed.
