Having not posted since February, Martin acknowledged his team for maintaining the blog in his absence and candidly discussed the emotional rollercoaster he has been on lately. He mentioned grappling with loss, sadness, and the harsh realities of aging, turning 77 last September.
Despite the hardships, Martin also highlighted the positive moments he has experienced, notably the success of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms with its Emmy nominations, including a nod for Best Drama. He expressed a desire to attend the upcoming ceremony in Los Angeles.
