A man from Britain has tragically passed away following a fall from a hill in the northeastern region of Spain. The 38-year-old individual reportedly fell from a significant height on Mount Urgull in San Sebastian, as stated by the Basque Government’s Department of Security.
The incident occurred at the Baluarte del Mirador observation point on the eastern side of Mount Urgull, according to details provided by El Diario Vasco. Emergency services, including firefighters and Basque police officers, quickly responded to the scene where the man’s body was discovered along the Paseo Nuevo promenade.
Authorities in Spain have initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the man’s death. His body has been transferred to the Basque Institute of Legal Medicine for a thorough autopsy.
Mount Urgull, a historic hill standing at 403 feet, is situated in San Sebastian between the city’s Old Town and La Concha Bay.
