An easyJet flight traveling from Manchester to Copenhagen had to urgently change its course due to an incident onboard. The flight departed around 7 pm and declared an emergency approximately 30 minutes later, leading to a diversion to Newcastle. This decision was made because a passenger required immediate medical attention.
The aircraft, an Airbus A320 with a capacity of up to 180 passengers, safely landed at Newcastle just after 8 pm, where the passenger received medical assistance upon arrival. An easyJet spokesperson confirmed the incident, stating that the flight continued its journey to Copenhagen after the medical situation was addressed. Ensuring the safety and well-being of passengers and crew members remains the top priority for easyJet.
Once the passenger was handed over to medical services, the plane departed from Newcastle shortly before 10:15 pm and arrived in Copenhagen at 12:30 am local time the following day.
