“Epstein Files Transparency Act Sparks Anger Among Victims”

Date:

Attorney General Pam Bondi has made an announcement that all materials governed by the Epstein Files Transparency Act have been released, sparking anger among victims. The decision means that approximately three million additional documents related to the deceased pedophile and his network will not be made public.

A survivor, who was abused by Epstein at the age of 15, expressed frustration, stating that despite claims of full disclosure, three million files are still being withheld. The survivor criticized the lack of transparency, highlighting the prolonged wait and lack of trust in the process, which seemingly protected powerful individuals at the victims’ expense.

In a letter to Congress dated February 14, Bondi confirmed the public release of all documents as required by the Act signed into law by Donald Trump in 2025. The released records encompass a wide array of materials, including emails, photographs, and documents, which were gradually disclosed in batches over December and January after thorough review by government attorneys.

Bondi’s correspondence included a list of 300 prominent individuals, including members of the royal family, British politicians, UK celebrities, and American personalities, mentioned in the released files. Notably, the names span across various fields such as politics, entertainment, and public life, with no implication of guilt or wrongdoing associated with Epstein’s criminal activities.

Under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, only specific redactions were permitted, primarily related to protecting victims’ identities, ongoing investigations, and sensitive information regarding child sexual abuse. The released documents, categorized into nine sections, cover a wide range of topics concerning Epstein, Maxwell, associated individuals, corporate entities linked to Epstein, immunity deals, DOJ communications, and more.

A substantial release on January 30 included over three million files, comprising images, videos, and footage shedding light on Epstein’s operations before his arrest and subsequent death in custody. The materials reveal disturbing instances of Epstein soliciting explicit content from young women, as well as footage suggesting his involvement in recruiting and exploiting victims under the guise of a talent scout.

Epstein’s demise by suicide in 2019 while awaiting trial further underscores the gravity of the case. The Department reiterated that all redactions were made following legal guidelines and privileges, ensuring transparency and accountability in the disclosure process.
