His family described him as a “good man” and criticized the Trump administration’s support for the killing, the second in a month to shake the Minnesota city.
Ms. Good’s relatives, who are still mourning her death, expressed their shock and sorrow over the shooting. They condemned the presence of ICE agents in Minneapolis, calling for an end to their activities and urging a complete withdrawal from the city. The family emphasized the need for a reevaluation of ICE’s role and actions, stating that the situation has escalated beyond its intended purpose of targeting criminal non-citizens.
The tragic incident involving Ms. Good occurred on January 7 when an ICE officer fatally shot her as she tried to drive away. The DHS labeled her a “domestic terrorist,” a claim also applied to Mr. Pretti without substantiated evidence. Contrary to official accounts, video evidence suggested that Ms. Good was attempting to avoid the officer, casting doubt on the justification for the use of lethal force.
Video footage of Mr. Pretti’s shooting depicted him holding a phone and being unarmed, despite possessing a legal firearm license.
