A 68-year-old woman passed away following a collision with a lorry while crossing the road in Glasgow. The incident occurred on Saracen Street at 11.10am on Tuesday, where the woman was hit by the heavy goods vehicle. Despite the arrival of emergency services, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police Scotland is now seeking witnesses to provide information regarding the accident. Sergeant Chris McColm from the road policing unit in Glasgow expressed condolences to the woman’s family and mentioned that investigations are ongoing to determine the complete circumstances of the incident.
Authorities are encouraging anyone who saw the crash to come forward and assist with the investigation. Drivers who were in the vicinity of Saracen Street during the time of the accident are urged to review their dashcam footage and contact the police if it contains any relevant information.
