Former BBC Star Jermaine Jenas Lists Luxurious Home

Date:

Jermaine Jenas has decided to put up his family residence for sale, a move that comes 18 months following his dismissal from a lucrative BBC job worth £190,000 per year. The property, located near Barnet in North London, boasts six bedrooms and is now on the market for £4.95 million. Images of the house displayed on a real estate agency website reveal luxurious amenities such as an indoor swimming pool, a sauna, a steam room, a gym, a cinema room, and a playroom.

The 43-year-old Jenas, together with his 37-year-old wife Ellie and their children, resided in the house after purchasing it for £2.8 million back in 2006. However, their family life took a turn after revelations of his infidelity emerged in August 2024. Following the scandal, Jenas established a new company, Coldline Ltd, and has listed it at a £3 million terraced property in Hampstead, although he is reportedly not residing there.

During the controversy, Jenas owned up to sending inappropriate messages to two female colleagues at The One Show and issued apologies to the recipients. His wife, Ellie, upon learning about the messages, expressed her anger by immediately kicking him out of their bedroom. Subsequently, their marriage faced further strain, leading to their eventual separation.

Despite the upheaval, Jenas maintained that his actions did not breach any laws as the exchanges were consensual between adults. His father, Dennis, speaking from Texas, revealed Jenas’ earnest efforts to salvage his marriage amidst the turmoil.

The fallout from the scandal extended to more accusations in the subsequent months, including claims of inappropriate behavior towards a make-up artist and a woman working at the World Cup. Ellie later announced the end of their marriage in a heartfelt Instagram post, emphasizing their commitment to co-parenting their children.

Once considered a promising talent at the BBC, Jenas’ career prospects took a nosedive post-scandal, dashing hopes of becoming a Match of the Day host as acclaimed by Gary Lineker. Jenas and Ellie, married in 2011, have two daughters and a son together, with Jenas having an older daughter from a previous relationship.

Ellie, launching her own business amidst the turmoil, acknowledged the challenges but remained focused on their children. Jenas, reflecting on the impact of the split, highlighted the emotional toll it took on him. He expressed gratitude for the support from friends and his renewed optimism for the future.
