The Isle of Man TT race was stopped due to a significant incident involving a rider and eight spectators, all of whom needed medical attention. The event took place at the exit of Parliament Square in Ramsey, leading to the cancellation of the day’s activities as officials managed the situation.
A statement from the event organizers confirmed that the incident required immediate suspension of all racing activities on the Mountain Course to allow for proper response protocols. The competitor involved was taken to Nobles Hospital with leg injuries but was conscious and communicating. Meanwhile, eight spectators were also treated at the hospital for assessment and further care.
Following the incident, all racing for the day was suspended to ensure effective management. An investigation involving race, medical, and safety personnel is now underway as part of the event’s standard procedures. The organizers expressed gratitude to the marshals, medical teams, emergency services, and all involved in responding to the incident.
The Isle of Man TT Races, held on a 37.7-mile (60km) Mountain Course using closed public roads, is scheduled to continue until June 6, 2026. Additionally, the Southern 100 confirmed the unfortunate passing of rider Alan Oversby during the Pre-TT Classic Road Races on the Isle of Man.
