A London school has been placed on lockdown due to a “serious incident” involving two boys who were reportedly stabbed, as confirmed by the Metropolitan Police.
Authorities swiftly responded to Kingsbury High School in Brent after the injured boys were discovered on the premises around 12:40 pm. One of the injured boys was transported to a major trauma center by the London Ambulance Service following the incident.
A 13-year-old teenage boy has been taken into custody on suspicion of attempted murder, according to the Metropolitan Police. The school has announced a lockdown, restricting access in and out of the campus until the investigation progresses.
In a statement, Kingsbury High School informed, “A serious incident has occurred at Kingsbury High School today. We are cooperating closely with the relevant agencies and following all required protocols.”
“The situation is currently under control, and we have already communicated with the parents and guardians of the students involved. Access to the school premises is restricted while the situation is being managed.”
The school pledged, “Further updates will be shared once verified information is available.” The London Ambulance Service reported responding to a stabbing incident on Bacon Lane, NW9, with medical teams treating and transferring two patients to medical facilities.
Detective Chief Superintendent Luke Williams of the Metropolitan Police assured, “We understand the community’s concerns over this incident. We have mobilized significant resources to locate the suspect and reassure local students, parents, and residents.”
