The 16-year-old’s activity tracker raised suspicions about an hour and a half into the journey from New Jersey to Mallorca, causing distress and uncertainty among passengers. Subsequent to the detection, a swift announcement was made via the onboard PA system instructing all travelers to immediately disable their Bluetooth devices.
