A man in his thirties has tragically passed away following a fire incident at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast. Firefighters were called to the hospital just before 6:45 pm on Wednesday in response to a fire on the ground floor. The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) reported that four fire engines and approximately 20 personnel were on-site to address the situation.
According to NIFRS, the man sustained injuries in the restroom fire and subsequently succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. Law enforcement officials have stated that the death is not being treated as suspicious.
