The family of a young girl who tragically lost her life in a car accident revealed that she was nearing her 16th birthday. Lexi Catlin passed away in a road collision on the A355 in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, on March 13.
In a heartfelt tribute shared by Thames Valley Police, Lexi’s family described her as a kind, funny, and outgoing individual whose infectious smile brightened every room. They expressed deep sorrow over her untimely death at the age of 15, highlighting her vibrant personality and unfulfilled dreams.
The family, devastated by the loss of Lexi, mentioned that she had a promising future ahead and was dearly loved by all. They emphasized the impact of her absence on their lives and mentioned that her 16th birthday would have been the next day.
Thames Valley Police reported a collision involving three vehicles – a white Toyota Yaris, a grey Toyota Hilux, and a motorbike, where Lexi was a passenger. Sadly, she did not survive the accident. The motorbike rider, a 16-year-old boy, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, along with two other teenagers from a separate motorbike.
An independent investigation was initiated due to the presence of a nearby police vehicle at the time of the incident. Lead investigator Oliver Cahill-Smith extended condolences to Lexi’s family and urged witnesses or individuals with dash-cam footage to come forward to assist in the investigation.
