The latest rankings of the priciest streets in the UK have been disclosed by property platform Rightmove, with only one street located outside of London making the cut.
Securing the top position once again is Winnington Road in Barnet, London, boasting an average asking price of £12,538,095. Following closely is Chester Square in Westminster, London, at £11,546,428, and The Bishops Avenue in Barnet, London, with a price tag of £8,930,650.
For locations beyond London, East Road in Elmbridge, Surrey, takes the lead as the most expensive street, standing out as the sole non-London street in the top 20, with an average price of £8,795,714.
In Scotland, Drumsheugh Gardens in Edinburgh claims the top spot with an average price of £560,000, while in Wales, Hollybush Road in Cardiff holds the title with an average price of £1,237,500.
The rankings are based on data provided by Rightmove, focusing on streets where at least five properties were available for sale in January of this year.
Colleen Babcock, a property expert at Rightmove, remarked, “Britain’s most expensive streets always attract attention, and this year, Winnington Road in North London has reclaimed its position as the priciest street in the country based on asking prices.”
She added, “The top 20 this year is predominantly occupied by London addresses, highlighting the city’s continued dominance in the ultra-prime property market. For buyers seeking prestigious addresses outside London, Elmbridge in Surrey stands out as the only non-capital area to feature in the top 20 list.”
