“Sibling of Deceased at Barrymore’s Pleads for New Forensic Tests”

Date:

The sibling of the individual found deceased in the swimming pool at Michael Barrymore’s residence has urged law enforcement to carry out new forensic examinations to solve the case.

Stuart Lubbock, aged 31, tragically died during a gathering at the home of the former television personality in 2001. Lubbock exhibited internal injuries consistent with a severe sexual assault after consuming cocaine and ecstasy. Barrymore, now 74, along with two others, was arrested in 2007 in connection with the incident but was later released without being charged.

In anticipation of the 25th anniversary of Stuart’s passing, his brother Kevin, aged 55, expressed his plea for fresh tests to uncover the truth behind his sibling’s demise. Kevin emphasized the advancements in DNA technology over the past 25 years and the importance of retesting crucial evidence.

On the night of March 31, 2001, Barrymore had been at a nightclub with his then-partner before inviting several individuals back to his residence, including Stuart, whom he had not met previously. Alcohol, cannabis, and cocaine were reportedly consumed at the gathering, which resulted in a call to emergency services reporting a man found in the pool in the early hours of the morning.

Various individuals present at the party, including Justin Merritt and Kylie Merritt, were questioned during the investigation. Despite conflicting testimonies and inconclusive autopsy results, Stuart’s death remains unresolved. The case has seen multiple arrests and inquiries over the years, with no definitive conclusions reached.

Despite ongoing efforts by law enforcement and the persistence of Stuart’s family, the circumstances surrounding his death continue to be clouded in uncertainty. The search for justice and closure for Stuart’s loved ones remains an ongoing priority for the authorities involved in the investigation.

The tragic events of that night in 2001 have left a lasting impact on all those involved, highlighting the importance of seeking truth and accountability in cases of this nature. As new technologies and investigative methods emerge, there is hope that answers may finally be found to bring resolution to this long-standing mystery.
