Armed police responded to a disturbance at a vacation park in Cornwall where a woman was reportedly assaulted by a man wielding a knife. The incident took place near the coastal town of Looe around midday on Friday. The victim was hospitalized for knife injuries but was later discharged after treatment. A 43-year-old man from Plymouth was apprehended in connection with the assault following a search at the vacation park and in the Southway area of Plymouth. He was arrested for suspected assault causing bodily harm and has been released on bail pending further investigation. Devon and Cornwall Police conducted the operation, deploying armed officers to locate and apprehend the suspect.
