Authorities were already present at the hospital for an unrelated matter when they were made aware of the attack. They apprehended a 27-year-old man believed to be responsible for the assault, which resulted in the doctor, in his 50s, sustaining injuries that were determined to be non-life-threatening and non-life-altering.
