“Murder Investigation Launched After Man Found Dead at Stone Circle”

A man described as “very popular” was discovered dead at a Bronze Age stone circle in the Peak District during a summer solstice gathering. The deceased individual has been identified as Isaac Clare-Watts, a skilled joiner from Arnold, Nottinghamshire. Authorities found his body at the Nine Ladies Stone Circle in Stanton Lees, Derbyshire, on Monday, June 22, prompting a response from emergency services.

Following the incident, a 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in police custody. Isaac Clare-Watts, who had been employed by Nottingham building firm Frank Goulding Ltd, was remembered by the company as a valued team member who had shown dedication to his craft.

The company expressed sadness over the tragic news and extended their thoughts and prayers to his family. Detectives are urging individuals who were present at the summer solstice event between June 19 and 23, as well as those with event footage from that period, to come forward with any information.

Detective Inspector Tony Owen from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit, leading the investigation, emphasized the urgency of speaking to all attendees to gather crucial details surrounding the man’s death. He highlighted the importance of even brief witnesses coming forward, as they may hold vital information essential for justice and closure for the victim’s family.
