A young boy is recuperating at his residence following an attack by a wandering cow while playing outdoors. The alarming incident occurred on Friday, June 19, and was captured on video. Startling footage shows the cow chasing the child, knocking him down, and jabbing at him with its horns, causing him to scream in fear.
Fortunately, nearby residents heard the commotion and rushed to assist. One individual picked up the boy, with the help of others, and attempted to scare off the cow by banging a discarded slider on the ground. Despite the pursuit by a second cow, the rescuers managed to shield the boy from further harm.
The event took place in the Tughlakabad area of New Delhi, India, on the aforementioned date. Authorities later apprehended both cows and relocated them to a shelter for stray cows in Delhi’s Rewla Khanpur region. An official source confirmed that the child sustained injuries but is currently recovering.
Local officials have noted a rise in the number of stray cattle, attributing it to the prevalence of illegal dairies in the area. They have promised action against both the implicated businesses and cattle owners who permit their animals to roam freely on public thoroughfares.
