A fatal stabbing incident in Crystal Palace has resulted in the death of a man. Authorities have initiated a murder investigation after the event occurred at 3:39 am on Sunday, June 21.
Law enforcement officers responded to a stabbing report on Westow Hill made by the London Ambulance Service. They discovered a man in his 30s with stab wounds at the scene.
Despite efforts from the police and paramedics, the victim succumbed to his injuries at the location. Another man in his 30s received medical attention on-site and was later transferred to a hospital.
The second individual’s injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening and non-life-altering. Subsequently, this man was apprehended on suspicion of murder.
The Metropolitan Police released a statement stating, “A murder inquiry is underway following the demise of a man in Crystal Palace. Authorities were alerted to an incident on Westow Hill at 03:39 on Sunday, June 21, by the London Ambulance Service concerning a stabbing.”
The statement continued, “Upon arrival, officers found a man in his 30s with severe injuries. He was treated at the scene before being transported to a medical facility, where his injuries were assessed as not life-threatening or life-changing.”
“Shortly after, another man believed to be in his 30s was discovered in the Westow Hill vicinity with stab wounds. Despite the efforts of the police and ambulance service, he was pronounced dead at the scene.”
“The 30-year-old individual receiving medical treatment has been arrested on suspicion of murder.”
Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Lee, leading the investigation, commented, “Our response teams acted swiftly alongside the London Ambulance Service to assist the victim. This is an active investigation, and residents of Crystal Palace will observe heightened police presence as our inquiries progress.”
Lee added, “Multiple crime scenes are established, and I urge anyone with information or concerns to reach out to us.”
