“Infamous Child Killer Ian Huntley Attacked in Prison”

Date:

An inmate at Durham’s HMP Frankland gained recognition among fellow prisoners for reportedly leaving notorious child killer Ian Huntley injured and bloody in an attack. Huntley, convicted of the double murder of 10-year-old girls Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman, sustained severe brain injuries after being assaulted with a metal bar during a workshop session, leading to his hospitalization in critical condition.

Despite being given a slim chance of survival, Huntley’s condition has not improved, as confirmed by Durham Constabulary in their latest update. The suspected assailant, identified by sources as triple killer Anthony Russell, remains unnamed by authorities. Huntley, who was reportedly apprehensive about potential poisoning, had been warned that he was a target, according to sources.

Following the incident, Huntley’s mother, Lynda Richards, rushed to her son’s side from Lincolnshire, expressing a desire to move past the ordeal. Huntley, a former caretaker, is serving a life sentence for the tragic murders of the two schoolgirls in Soham, Cambridgeshire, in 2002.

The attacker, praised by other inmates for the assault, has stirred controversy within the prison community. The situation remains tense as Huntley continues to fight for his life, with authorities monitoring his condition closely for any changes.
