“London Fire Brigade Battles Blaze in Knollmead Residence”

A fire broke out at a residence in London, leading to the dispatch of eight fire engines and approximately 60 firefighters to combat the blaze.

The incident occurred at a mid-terraced house in Knollmead, Tolworth, where the London Fire Brigade reported the building’s roof engulfed in flames. Multiple fire crews from nearby stations were called to the scene.

The fire was first reported at 3:47 pm, with the Brigade swiftly responding by deploying eight fire engines and 60 firefighters to the location. A 32-meter ladder was utilized to address the situation as part of the emergency response.

By 5:11 pm, the situation was under control, with crews from Surbiton, Sutton, New Malden, and other neighboring fire stations mobilized to assist. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Brigade’s Fire Investigation Team.

The residential street, Knollmead, situated in Tolworth within the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, witnessed the blaze at a mid-terraced property. This area is recognized for being home to Knollmead Primary School.

As of now, the roof of the house is still ablaze, and the London Fire Brigade is working to determine the cause of the fire. Firefighters arrived to find a section of the roof on fire, necessitating the use of a 32-meter ladder in their response efforts.
