“Manchester Stabbing Leaves Victim Critical”

A man is currently in critical condition at a hospital following a deliberate attack in the city center of Manchester. The victim, a 31-year-old male, was discovered with stab wounds on Peter Street, Deansgate, an area known for its bars and restaurants. City of Manchester officers found him while on patrol at approximately 3:40 am today.

After receiving initial medical assistance, the victim was transported to the hospital and is currently in critical but stable condition, according to a statement from Greater Manchester Police. Despite the launch of an investigation, no arrests have been made yet, and a police cordon surrounds the incident location.

Chief Inspector Mike Tachauer stated, “Although no suspects have been apprehended, we want to assure residents and the community that we view this as a targeted assault with no broader threat to public safety. Our inquiry is progressing swiftly to identify those accountable for this incident.”

A police presence remains in the vicinity of Peter Street to offer security and support. Individuals with any pertinent information regarding the incident are urged to contact the police at 101, referencing incident number 531 of July 19.
