In a shocking incident of road rage, a man allegedly struck a 15-year-old boy with his car, prompting brave pedestrians to intervene and prevent his escape. The harrowing ordeal unfolded in Sydney, Australia, where witnesses described the driver engaging in a heated altercation with the boy and his friends, who were riding e-bikes, just before the incident.
According to reports, the car was seen on top of the e-bike, running over the boy’s legs. The incident, captured partially on camera, took place in the affluent suburb of North Curl Curl. Witnesses stated that the driver had made offensive gestures towards a group of teens before speeding away in his vehicle.
Following a verbal confrontation and exchange of thrown objects between the driver and the teens, the situation escalated. The driver allegedly hit the boy, causing him to be thrown from the e-bike, before fleeing the scene. However, the driver was apprehended shortly after in a nearby town.
The injured boy, who suffered serious leg injuries, was quickly attended to by emergency services and transported to a local hospital for treatment. An eyewitness recounted the chaotic scene, expressing shock at the severity of the incident and the potential for even greater harm.
