A 23-year-old woman, Jenna Anne Johnson, who captured the attention of many followers by sharing her health journey, has passed away. Jenna, from Stockholm, South Dakota, amassed a large online community by providing candid updates about her battle with cancer.
After spending five days in hospice care, Jenna’s sister Paige announced her passing on June 2 through a heartfelt video on Jenna’s TikTok account. Paige, fighting tears, conveyed Jenna’s wish for updates in such circumstances and expressed belief in a future reunion with her.
Jenna’s journey began with a cervical cancer diagnosis on June 26, 2024, culminating in her peaceful passing surrounded by loved ones. Despite the adversity, Jenna, a graduate of Milbank High School and South Dakota State University, garnered over 50,000 TikTok followers, where she shared her story and advocated for cervical cancer awareness.
In her most popular video, “How I found out I had Stage 4 cancer,” Jenna recounted her shock at abnormal test results, leading to a diagnosis of adenoid carcinoma. Initially hopeful for treatment, the cancer rapidly spread despite medical interventions, leaving doctors puzzled due to its unusual presentation in a young individual.
