“US Presents 15-Point Peace Plan to Iran Amid Rising Tensions”

Date:

The United States has reportedly presented a 15-point peace proposal to Iran, urging a one-month ceasefire in efforts to de-escalate tensions. The Trump administration is actively seeking a resolution to the conflict, motivated by concerns over escalating oil prices and economic instability. Diplomatic channels through Pakistan were utilized to deliver the plea to Iran, as revealed by sources familiar with the matter.

Key components of the peace plan purportedly focus on addressing Iran’s ballistic missile and nuclear programs, along with discussions on maritime security in the region. Additionally, the plan includes demands for Iran to halt uranium enrichment activities and dismantle enrichment facilities in Isfahan, Fordow, and Nantaz. Furthermore, Iran is urged to cease support for regional proxies and establish a ‘free maritime zone’ in the vital Strait of Hormuz.

While the specifics of the plan have not been widely disclosed among Iranian officials, the acceptance of the proposal for negotiation remains uncertain. There is no confirmation on whether Israel is in agreement with the terms outlined in the plan. Concurrently, reports indicate that mediators from Turkey, Egypt, and Pakistan are facilitating potential talks between US and Iranian representatives within the next 48 hours.

Despite recent claims by President Trump of positive dialogues with Iran, Tehran has refuted such statements, emphasizing conflicting perspectives on the bilateral relationship. Complicating the situation, US intelligence reports suggest Iran’s deployment of mines in the Strait of Hormuz, heightening maritime security concerns. Amidst these developments, the Pentagon is reportedly planning to deploy 3,000 troops from the Army’s elite 82nd Airborne Division to bolster operations in the Middle East.
